Originally from Long Island, NY, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and spent the beginning of my working career in Marketing and Advertising.
At this point in my life I love giving back. I donate a lot of my paintings to various organizations, which help raise money for different causes. Companies/charities I have donated my art to include Auditory-Verbal Center in Atlanta, The Living Room (an organization serving individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in metro Atlanta by providing subsidized supportive housing, housing referrals and housing-related emergency assistance), and The Power of Pink event, which helps raise money for breast cancer.
Travel, people, exercise, movies and nature all inspire and motivate me for ideas and artistic inspiration. When I see a theme or idea that inspires, it stirs up feelings inside of me. I then visualize that I am in that place, and it triggers the desire to want to paint it. It can be anything; a street that I am walking down, a photograph, or another painting. I never know where that inspiration is going to come from.
My Grandfather, Dad and Sister are all artists. Coming from a very talented family, I am lucky to have been influenced by such a creative environment. Animals are so special, and lately I have made people’s pets my main focus. I love to capture their essence in an ethereal and loving way. To feel the excitement and sentiment after someone receives their pet’s portrait is truly an incredible feeling of satisfaction and happiness!
